“M, I could make you a black kitty costume!”

Taking a break from the faux fur mess in the sewing room with the news that I did find those “missing” photos. G had them.

So, we’ve got some grandkids with grandparents from Ohio in August…

It is impossible to get a picture of everyone looking forward and smiling, especially because sometimes they aren’t even trying to cooperate…

(She can be a handful, but it is almost always a happy handful…)

G was quite occupied last year with a PTA activity he spearheaded to fund and build a new playground at the school across the street. And the second week of school, his vision was made reality. As fate would have it though, C is no longer attending that school (because she was accepted into an advanced learner program that operates out of a different public school) but the kids were still pretty excited about it.

(Can’t read the sign in the last picture? It says to stay off the equipment because the cement is drying. I guess being the head of the playground committee had its perks though Winking smile)

OK, back into the costume sewing fray. Hopefully Halloween pictures to follow in the next few days!

Whew. Work + pregnancy (er, haven’t mentioned that on the blog yet) + life really ate into my blogging time eh?

We’ve had…

Violin recital (with dress by me)

Last day of preschool with favorite teachers (and dress by me)

Bike rides (M is training wheel free and a speed demon on the bike! If only she understood how brakes work.)

4th of July

Art camp

Ice cream (OK, there has been a lot of ice cream…)

Silly sister time (skirts by me)

Daddy time

A new playhouse

Pool time at Grammy and Grampy’s

More bike riding

Gray hairs (!!)

Various county and state fairs

Puppet shows by both girls, with their own scenery and everything. One story might have made more sense than the other one though. C’s included the three little bears made out of cattails and some special effects as well.

Visiting the grandparents (sadly, I seem to have lost all the pictures from my other camera which included pictures with my parents Sad smile)

Drama camp

More silly sister time at the Seattle Center (ballet of Cinderella, brickcon lego show, pacific science center)

And, some creative sewing by C. She will just go up into the sewing room now and create on her own, this is just one of her latest creations (named Venus because she is so pretty). I literally only helped for a few minutes on this, forcing her to rip out stiches and redo sewing the body and legs.

Oh, and braces! (And 4 more teeth pulled, but who’s counting?)

Lots else has been going on of course…more camps, start of a new school for C and another year of preschool for M. As I said though, I seem to have lost a bunch of pictures off my other camera which included these.

We are heavily into preparations for fall/winter holidays (C turns 9 next week, Halloween costume making is starting, Thanksgiving….yikes) and baby girl’s arrival (she is known around these parts as “the Marmot”) hopefully before Christmas. Lots of knitting and some sewing has been going on as well, lots to share and catch up on. Hopefully G is going to finish fixing up my computer station soon and I will get back into the photography and blogging habit before baby gets here!
